Union Budget 2024: Key Announcements in Education and Job Sector
• The Union Budget 2024-25 allocated Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment, and skilling, with a focus on enhancing higher education and skill development.
• Significant announcements include an upgraded skill loan scheme, providing loans up to Rs 7.5 lakh with a government-backed guarantee, aiming to support 25,000 students annually.
• A new internship scheme will offer opportunities for 1 crore youths in over 500 leading companies, with a monthly stipend of Rs 5,000 and a one-time assistance payment of Rs 6,000.
• The budget outlines a plan to create job opportunities for about 4.1 crore youth over the next five years, with a budget allocation of Rs 2 lakh crore.
• To increase female participation in the workforce, the budget includes provisions for setting up women’s hostels and creches, along with an allocation of over Rs 3 lakh crore for schemes benefitting women and girls.

• वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने 23 जुलाई, 2024 को अपना सातवां बजट पेश किया। इस बजट में उन्होंने कई बड़ी घोषणाएं कीं, जिनमें से कुछ चीजें सस्ती हुई हैं और कुछ महंगी।
• सस्ती होने वाली चीजों में मोबाइल फोन, कैंसर की दवाएं, लिथियम आयन बैटरी, इम्पोर्टेड ज्वेलरी, सोना, चांदी और प्लेटिनम शामिल हैं। वहीं, महंगी होने वाली चीजों में पेट्रोकेमिकल, अमोनियम नाइट्रेट, पीवीसी, हवाई सफर और सिगरेट शामिल हैं।
• बजट में रोजगार सृजन, कौशल विकास, कृषि और विनिर्माण पर फोकस करते हुए 2047 तक ‘विकसित भारत’ के लिए रोडमैप है।
• केंद्रीय बजट ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था के लिए अधिक आवंटन, कराधान सुधार, बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ावा, स्थानीय विनिर्माण, नौकरी और कौशल सृजन पर जोर और अधिक श्रम-प्रधान क्षेत्रों में प्रोडक्शन-लिंक्ड इंसेटिव (पीएलआई) आवंटन का समर्थन करने पर केंद्रित है।
